Symptoms:
Inadequate nutrition of the body can cause ailments such as chronic fatigue, recurrent infections associated with decreased immunity, depressed mood, chronic pain and inflammation.
In patients without disease symptoms, an individual approach through a detailed assessment of the nutritional status and properly selected personalized intervention in the field of diet and nutraceuticals will allow to improve the health condition and prevent numerous acute and chronic diseases.
Diagnostics:
To assess the nutritional status of the organism at the Vitality Institute, we suggest the following procedure:
comprehensive assessment of the nutritional status of the patient according to the ABCD scheme
basic laboratory tests to detect potential abnormalities (lipid disorders, abnormal sugar levels, anemia, NAFLD)
Metabolomix test (Genova Diagnostics), i.e. a complete assessment of the nutritional status of the patient, which is a panel of tests complementary to standard blood or urine tests. By assessing the biochemical processes taking place in the body, the test allows us to determine the individual need for vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, fatty acids and gastrointestinal support. Additionally, the test assesses exposure to toxic substances from the environment.
The test in a precise manner, using a point system, determines the processes taking place in the mitochondria, the level of oxidative stress (underlying chronic inflammation in the body), the quantitative imbalance of omega acids (which is, among others, the cause of depressed mood) or the key processes of methylation for the proper functioning of the body.
Treatment:
The above diagnostics allows an individual approach to each patient and is a kind of guide for the doctor who can use it to apply very detailed interventions including personalized diet and supplementation with the use of nutraceuticals and individually selected lifestyle changes. In some cases of identified irregularities, it will be necessary to perform in-depth diagnostics ordered by a doctor.
